24 novembre 2013

Buona domenica!
Come va?

Happy Sunday!
How are you?

Today a post on my October & November favorites:

E qualche swatch
And a few swatches

Mascara Extra WOW Lash Rimmel: I bought it some time ago for its launch attractive price (no more than € 5) and because I always liked Rimmel mascaras... now it's drying and it's almost over :( I really liked it, it lenghtens and defines well my lashes with no clumps at all - it has a very simple brush, with conic shape and maybe that's why it works so well! Easy to remove (the opposite of the Essence Get Big! Lashes Volume Curl I'm using at the moment)... Now I'd like to try a natural one - do you have any to suggest? I read very good reviews on the So'Bio étic False Lashes effect....

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil Touch of Glam: I actually think this shade was discontinued (I usually buy these pencils when they're on sale, lol)... I never had problems with these pencils (my top favorite was Let's Dance! - a dark bronze you've seen in many looks), very pigmented at first stroke and really long lasting, even on me!

Neve Cosmetics Zen Eyeshadow: I quite forgot about this shade (well if you own thousands of eyeshadows this will most likely happen) but now I revalued it by using it for some very quick looks (especially with Fortune's Smile): on the crease or on lid for an easy smokey...the classic all rounder cool taupe ;)

Neve Cosmetics Soho Blush: this blush was also a bit ignored, maybe because I usually tend to use some slightly darker shades or corals and because I thought it was too cool to suit my medium warm skin tone (since I started using mineral make up my comfort zone expanded a lot and I have this conceit that most of make up shades suit me so when I bought it I thought: "Well, if it doesn't suit me, then I'll use it on  my lips with some gloss")...now, maybe it's because I've never been so pale (in these last two years I barely had some chances to go to the beach during summer, sigh!) but it's quite flattering, I guess anyway it's a really smart hot pink shade that suits almost everybody - so awesome!

Darling Girl Fortune's Smile Eyeshadow: this shade was unfortunately discontinued but I'm using it a lot when I don't have much time or don't want to think about combos.... it's a very soft olive green taupe with light pink iridescence, so cute! Darling Girl is among my top favorite brands and it's well renowned for taupe and delicate shades that can save your make up!

Darling Girl Tainted Love Eyeshadow: it's one of my favorites to use on my crease, it applies and blends like a dream and pairs easily with many other colors (you've seen it here) - you just need a tiny amount but I already bought the petit size just in case...

Rimmel Coral Blush: like I said before, coral is one of my favorite shades to use on my cheeks and this one, besides its good pigmentation and wear, has a big pro: it's compact, therefore very practical. I tend to use mineral loose make up and rarely go for compacts but sometimes it's nice to use these as well :P

Lumiere Eyebuki Brush: I bought this brush through a prebuy collective order organized on the mineralmakeup forum, no more available I guess - right size and fluffy - I'm using it a lot to define my crease, a great purchase!

Wjcon Face Brush 202: I was very curious about this brush cause I never saw any like that and while I was thinking I wanted to try and practice some contouring. I was also thinking, given its quite dense bristles, I could use it with less pigmented blushes...well, till now it was never used for these reasons - I reach for this brush when I just want a quick swipe of color on my lid ^_^ Of course it's not the perfect candidate when I need to be precise but I like it a lot! It's a multi task brush.

Last, a couple of my favorite song during these months:

E i vostri preferiti??!

"Oh Lord have mercy mercy mercy..." (quanto mi piaceva questa canzone!)

Hi!
I didn't disappear, just came back from a couple of weeks stayin' out of town...

I'm working on a few drafts, so not to leave this blog home alone, I'll show you a look I photographed weeks ago, pity that you can't see the difference between the two shades (though not of a huge one irl)...and, again, an unrecognizable Behemoth by Aleguaras, yeah (ok, there was a light layering)!!
"Oh Lord have mercy mercy mercy..." (how much I loved this song!)

Base: Zoeva Eyeshadow Fix Pearl primer
Palpebra: L'Oréal Color Appeal Chrome Shine 171 Dazzling Khaki

Rima interna inferiore: Kajal nero Blue Mountain
Rima inferiore: Kiko Double Glam 05 lato verde teal
Mascara: Rimmel Extra WOW Lash

Good morning!!!

Buon sabato!

Siate clementi! :P

Happy Saturday!

As I was saying yesterday I'm going to show you a quick look I did with After You've Gone and Tainted Love (from the MILF - Matte I'd Like To Find collection), a mat deep purple that surprised me for its high pigmentation and blendability...unfortunately it looks much lighter than irl because of the overexposed area where I took the pictures but I'm not really good in photo editing and decided to post them anyway...the tealish green eyepencil on lower lashline has emphasized the cool effect given by the silver and purple combo....so it made me think of A Beautiful Lie by 30 Seconds To Mars...
Be merciful! :P

This is the only picture where Tainted Love looks quite like irl (sorry the wide-eyed look!)

And I'm posting this, despite its super overexposure, just beacuse I loved how my lower inner corner was looking defined :P

Ho usato:

Base: Primped & Primed Eye Lid Primer Darling Girl
Palpebra ed angolo interno inferiore: After You've Gone Darling Girl
Piega: Tainted Love Darling Girl
Eyeliner e rima interna inferiore: kajal nero Blue Heaven
Rima inferiore: Kiko Double Glam 05 lato verde teal
Mascara: Rimmel Extra WOW Lashes

I used:

Base: Darling Girl Primped & Primed Eye Lid Primer
Lid and lower inner corner: Darling Girl After You've Gone
Crease: Darling Girl Tainted Love
Eyeliner and lower inner lashline: Blue Heaven black kajal
Lower lashline: Kiko Double Glam 05 teal green side
Mascara: Rimmel Extra WOW Lashes

Ciao!

:P E poichè avevo in mente un bel rosso acceso (qui è uscito fuori corallo ma vabbè!) per Walking In My Shoes nella mia serie Depeche Mode Inspired... there you go!

Hi!

The idea for this look came to me when Robiwan asked for suggestions on how to use Ariel from the new Sleek Lagoon palette and I said to myself: "Why not to try? I'll surely have some similar shades among my thousands pigments"...yes indeed! :P And since I had in mind a bright red (though it turned out coral here!) for Walking In My Shoes in my Depeche Mode Inspired series...there you go!
Robiwan I hope you like it - I might try again using a darker and satin purple such as Deep Water instead, I honestly didn't dig much among my purple shades (plus it looks lighter in these pictures) but  the overall look seems to be pretty good...I guess it's one of my best looks (how modest)!

I even found a shot from the videoclip in my favor, lol!

Salve salvino, come state?

Lucrezia: Compulsion è diventata la mia droga!!!!

Hi there, how are you doing?

I dedicate this post to Lucrezia, one of the girls who took part in the Zoeva - (Zoeva 2) - Sleek collective haul. Yes because, since I was due some little money because of a higher shipping, I asked her if she could send me some samples of her homemade eyeshadows...well, calling them generous samples is not really enough! I'll show them properly in a separate post, today I wanted to share a very easy but neat look (unfortunately not really visible on the pics ç_ç) that I made with them to go visit my cousin who just had her first baby and welcome her cute little boy in the family :) I guess some Smiths music fits well... ^_^

Good morning!

I already told you about it here and did and photographed this look from a while (pity you can't see how the shades blend together - Pistol Pistol is brilliant and it's not even visible, sob! - but afternoon light is like that): I got inspiration from the gorgeous Lilian and thought of purple...

Did you miss it??
I hope you did a little bit...yesterday I tried to recall how many dupes I might have to show you and it seems like I have almost ten or so, then, like it or not, this section will go on for a while :P

Jeweled Taupe (Darling Girl) VS Backstage (Rimmel)

Verdict: almost, they're quite similar - Jeweled Taupe is slightly warmer than Backstage and has some hot pink glitters (you can barely see them in the baggie) but the result, even if you wouldn't say that (they're both hard to catch on pics), is almost identical on eyes. They both feature a metallic finish and once applied it looks like they were applied wet -I love them!! <3

Sera!

Good evening!

Today I'm going to show you another look I was about to give up before finishing it, but this previous experience taught me that never say never so I went on and....I really liked it!! As usual pictures do not do any justice (I'm so bad, I know!) because shadows appear to be lighter and a bit of meh - e.g. Cornucopia is a gorgeous burnt orange with blue shimmer that blends well with Behemoth (someone won't be able to recognize it!)...the result was magical because I would have never thought I would have managed to transfer on my eyes those sunset shades I enjoy from home... Now since there's a connection with Space Oddity 'Get Inspired' I decided to dedicate this one to the beautiful Satellite Of Love...

Ho usato:

Base: primer Magic The All Natural Face
Palpebra: Blueberry Yogurt Aleguaras
Piega: Cornucopia Darling Girl
Piega e V esterna: Behemoth Aleguaras
Illuminante: Almond Chrimaluxe

10 gennaio 2013

This is a look I had in mind since quite some time (aka since one of my latest favourite smash hit - Locked Out Of Heaven - was released) and I eventually did it yesterday...but next time I'll try applying Boy With The Bread instead of Bijou (which is cooler)...anyway I really liked the combo, enjoy!

5 gennaio 2013

Buon 2013!

Happy 2013!

Here's my first look of the year, these days I had in mind It's Raining Men (who knows why...) and that's what I came up with - just a big pity colors look soooo faded, way more vibrant in real life (just so you know Vanity is the typical Smurf blue - here was applied over yellow so it turned out aqua marine - and Jerrica is a sun yellow....so sad!)

Ho usato:

Base: Magic primer The All Natural Face
Palpebra: Jerrica Glamour Doll Eyes
Piega: Vanity Glamour Doll Eyes
V esterna: Tortora scuro del Colour Sphere Duo nr 103 Kiko
Illuminante: Rosa antico del Colour Sphere Duo nr 103 Kiko
Eyeliner: In Love Essence
Rima inferiore: Black Samba Bottega Verde
Mascara: Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Body - Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Volume Top Coat

I used:

Base: The All Natural Face Magic primer
Lid: Glamour Doll Eyes Jerrica
Crease: Glamour Doll Eyes Vanity
Outer V: Kiko Colour Sphere Duo nr 103 Tortora scuro (dark taupe)
Highlighter: Kiko Colour Sphere Duo nr 103 Rosa antico (antique rose)
Eyeliner: Essence In Love
Lower lashline: Bottega Verde Black Samba
Mascara: Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Body - Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Volume Top Coat

PS: I'm trying to make some changes such as pictures collage and signature (not really sure about this, maybe I just need some time to get used to it)....what do you think?

23 dicembre 2012

Seraaaa!

Base: Magic Primer The All Natural Face
Palpebra: Swors Swallower Glamour Doll Eyes
Piega: Brown Matte Look by Bipa + Gloaming Meow
Eyeliner: kajal Blue Heaven
Rima interna ad inferiore: kajal Blue Heaven
Mascara: Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Body + Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Volume Top Coat
Blush: Cosmopolitan Buffd
Labbra: Kiko Extra Volume Lip Gloss Mauve Perlato

My Christmas look:

Base: The All Natural Face Magic Primer
Lid: Glamour Doll Eyes Sword Swallower
Crease: Look By Bipa Matte Brown + Meow Gloaming
Eyeliner: Blue Heaven Kajal
Inner and lower lashline: Blue Heaven Kajal
Mascara: Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Body + Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Volume Top Coat
Blush: Buffd Cosmopolitan
Lips: Kiko Extra Volume Lip Gloss Pearly Mauve

When I offered a giveaway I remember there was a comment of a follower asking me to publish regularly  posts on top favourite products... I like reading these articles but it's always a bit difficult for me to make a list since I rarely use, for example, the same eyeshadow or blush for days in a row even if I really like them (maybe because I have too much stuff!) but this time I managed to do it, so here's my top 5 at the moment:

Rimmel Disco Ball: I already showed it to you here - I think I'll use it many times, I like that sparkling accent being still 'moderate', I even didn't need to fight much to take it out today!

Eyepencils on lower lashline: not a big deal but I love, as said, to use them on my lower lashlines (Pupa Multiplay 01, Essence Kajal Neon Sweetie, you'll have to wait to see Copper Rulez Jep on action for a collaboration I'm working on ;P)

Eyeliner Essence In Love: as you can see it's pretty worn out, I use it almost everyday (you'll find it in many make up looks I posted) and it's almost over, sigh. I love it because makes a good line and since it has tiny shimmers in it, has a glossy finish, plus (most important thing of all) it stays on for the whole day, even on my hooded eyes!

Aleguaras Silk: maybe it's spring and its delicate shades, I don't know but I rediscovered this delicate eyeshadow (you can see it here and here) and you'll see it soon again!

Darling Girl lip balm 'Apple Jacks': I love, love, love this balm! It has a perfect Inci, costs $ 3.50 for 0.15 oz. I chose 'Apple Jacks' flavor, which is a blend of cinnamon, vanilla and red McIntosh apple, delicious, not too sweet! But if you go here you'll have plenty of choice, if I wouldn't already have a couple of backups I would have bought another one, but I'll consider it for the future! I actually wouldn't call it flavour but 'fragrance' instead because once you open the tube you can smell its perfume but there's no trace of it on your lips (it happens with The All Natural Face ones, they're just as great as this one and share the sames features but they also taste good, so it's almost impossible not to lick it away!). It glides on super easily on lips, no waxy or oily feeling, it's simply perfect!

As for flops I'll only speak about mascaras this time (sorry, no pics!), it seems like I'm having troubles with this category lately... I have three (actually four) and no one that satisfies me: Deborah Volume Sprint has a nice big brush but it's still too runny (I guess it'll stay so), Kiko Extension Day looks like I barely applied it, I've used Yves Rocher Longeur 360° a few times and it's already getting dry so I get clumpy lashes, Yves Rocher Luminelle is pretty new and I've used it a few times so I'm going to give it more chances and see what happens....not so long ago I bought Rimmel Extra Wow Lash at Schlecker mainly beacuse of its price (I think it was € 4,50) but I didn't use it yet, I'm still trying to use those three in a combo with Kiko Building Base and/or False Lashes Concentrate Top Coat to see if they work but so far no noticeable results....can you suggest me a nice mascara? Not an expensive one (I think Dior & co will never see my money), the last three I really liked were Deborah Definitive Volume & Curl, Essence Maximum Definition and Rimmel Sexy Curves (I was thinking getting Sexy Curves Full Figure...)...thanks!

Last I couldn't leave without saying my top 5 pleasant smash songs (random order) ;)

This is the nail polish I put yesterday, calling it 'mani' is really too much!
I originally layered Disco Ball only on my left ring finger but since Aqua Cool scratched on some little areas (I was too lazy to put a top coat - Fairwind, which I layered today :P), I decided to put it on almost all fingers (except pinkie one, just because!)

Happy Monday!
I had inspiration for this look since quite some time (colors from Only Girl (In The World) video by Rihanna) and when in February I received a preview of the Aleguaras' Let's Dance Collection I told myself: "The time is now!"
This is actually my 2nd try, in the 1st one I didn't use a colored base and all the shades were applied dry so the result was softer (even more romantic!), but I wanted something more 'vibrant' - sorry, pics are not very clear (make up was a lot better in real life) but I was late and had to hurry up :P

17 novembre 2011

Here's another old look I really liked, especially because I could use a color I actually don't like (because of its too reddish base = sick look) achieving a nice result :P
This time inspiration didn't come from music (even if I found this nice song by The Hundred in The Hands) but... from pigeons! I was at the railway station and looking at their iridescent duochrome neck feathers I came up with this (soo yeasy!):

30 ottobre 2011

After quite a long break here I am again, showing you an actually old eye make up - the last one I took pics of - I tested again Glitter Glue by Darling Girl for fun, I mean the eeyshadow is already pigmented but GG gives a metallic and more intense look...this look is very simple, nothing extraordinary, a daily and vaguely romantic one... inspiring song is Warwick Avenue...enjoy!
