Mascara Extra WOW Lash Rimmel: lo comprai tempo fa perché in offerta lancio costava non più di € 5 e con Rimmel mi sono sempre trovata bene....adesso si sta steccando ed è al capolinea :( mi è piaciuto moltissimo, allunga e definisce bene le ciglia senza creare grumi - ha uno scovolino conico molto semplice e forse è proprio questo il punto di forza! Facile da struccare, al contrario di quello Essence che sto usando adesso e che mi ha delusa tantissimo (il Get Big! Lashes Volume Curl)...Adesso vorrei orientarmi su uno ecobio - avete suggerimenti? Da quello che ho letto in giro il più valido mi pare sia quello della So'Bio étic effetto ciglia finte....

Mascara Extra WOW Lash Rimmel: I bought it some time ago for its launch attractive price (no more than € 5) and because I always liked Rimmel mascaras... now it's drying and it's almost over :( I really liked it, it lenghtens and defines well my lashes with no clumps at all - it has a very simple brush, with conic shape and maybe that's why it works so well! Easy to remove (the opposite of the Essence Get Big! Lashes Volume Curl I'm using at the moment)... Now I'd like to try a natural one - do you have any to suggest? I read very good reviews on the So'Bio étic False Lashes effect....

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil Touch of Glam: in realtà credo che questo colore sia stato dismesso tempo fa (infatti di solito compro queste matite ai saldi, lol)... con queste matite mi sono sempre trovata benissimo (la mia preferita in assoluto era Let's Dance!, un bronzo scuro che avrete visto in tanti dei miei look), scriventissime al primo tratto e reggono davvero tutto il giorno, persino sui miei occhi!

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil Touch of Glam: I actually think this shade was discontinued (I usually buy these pencils when they're on sale, lol)... I never had problems with these pencils (my top favorite was Let's Dance! - a dark bronze you've seen in many looks), very pigmented at first stroke and really long lasting, even on me!

Ombretto Neve Cosmetics Zen: avevo lasciato quest'ombretto un po' nel dimenticatoio (ovvio, quando se ne hanno millemila!) e adesso l'ho rivalutato usandolo per i trucchi super veloci (soprattutto in combo con Fortune's Smile): nella piega o come smokey a tutta palpebra...il classico taupe freddo tuttofare ;)

Neve Cosmetics Zen Eyeshadow: I quite forgot about this shade (well if you own thousands of eyeshadows this will most likely happen) but now I revalued it by using it for some very quick looks (especially with Fortune's Smile): on the crease or on lid for an easy smokey...the classic all rounder cool taupe ;)

Blush Neve Cosmetics Soho: anche questo era finito nel dimeticatoio, un po' perchè tendo normalmente verso colori un pochino più scuri o corallo ed un po' perché pensavo che in realtà fosse una tonalità un po' troppo fredda per la mia tonalità medium warm (da quando uso il minerale la mia comfort zone si è notevolmente estesa ed ho, forse, la presunzione di credere che quasi tutto mi stia bene quindi quando l'ho comprato ho pensato: "Mal che vada posso usarlo sulle labbra con un gloss")....adesso sarà che non sono mai stata così pallida (sono due anni che non vado a mare in estate, sigh!) ma riesco ad usarlo tranquillamente, credo comunque sia una azzeccatissima nuance di fucsia che dona a molte - veramente strepitoso!

Neve Cosmetics Soho Blush: this blush was also a bit ignored, maybe because I usually tend to use some slightly darker shades or corals and because I thought it was too cool to suit my medium warm skin tone (since I started using mineral make up my comfort zone expanded a lot and I have this conceit that most of make up shades suit me so when I bought it I thought: "Well, if it doesn't suit me, then I'll use it on  my lips with some gloss")...now, maybe it's because I've never been so pale (in these last two years I barely had some chances to go to the beach during summer, sigh!) but it's quite flattering, I guess anyway it's a really smart hot pink shade that suits almost everybody - so awesome! 

Ombretto Darling Girl Fortune's Smile: ombretto ahimé dismesso ma che sto usando tantissimo quando ho poco tempo o non ho voglia di pensare a combinazioni varie...è un delicatissimo taupe verde oliva con leggere iridescenze rosate, davvero una chicca! Darling Girl è tra i marchi che più preferisco ed è nota poi per i taupe ed i colori delicati ma che ti risolvono il trucco!

Darling Girl Fortune's Smile Eyeshadow: this shade was unfortunately discontinued but I'm using it a lot when I don't have much time or don't want to think about combos.... it's a very soft olive green taupe with light pink iridescence, so cute! Darling Girl is among my top favorite brands and it's well renowned for taupe and delicate shades that can save your make up!

Ombretto Darling Girl Tainted Love: quest'ombretto è sicuramente tra i miei preferiti da usare nella piega, super facile da applicare, sfumare e abbinare (lo avete già visto qui) - ne basta un pizzichino ma ho già acquistato la versione petit...

Darling Girl Tainted Love Eyeshadow: it's one of my favorites to use on my crease, it applies and blends like a dream and pairs easily with many other colors (you've seen it here) - you just need a tiny amount but I already bought the petit size just in case...

Blush Rimmel Coral: come dicevo prima, il corallo è tra i miei colori preferiti per le guance e questo ha dalla sua parte, oltre alla buona pigmentazione e durata, la praticità dell'essere compatto. Uso quasi esclusivamente trucchi minerali in polvere libera ma bisogna ammettere che a volte è bello anche utilizzare i compatti :P

Rimmel Coral Blush: like I said before, coral is one of my favorite shades to use on my cheeks and this one, besides its good pigmentation and wear, has a big pro: it's compact, therefore very practical. I tend to use mineral loose make up and rarely go for compacts but sometimes it's nice to use these as well :P

Pennello Eyebuki Lumiere: pennello acquistato durante un prebuy tramite un collettivo organizzato sul forum di mineralmakeup, non penso più disponibile - cicciotto il giusto, come piace a me, e morbido - lo sto strausando per definire la piega, un ottimo acquisto!

Lumiere Eyebuki Brush: I bought this brush through a prebuy collective order organized on the mineralmakeup forum, no more available I guess - right size and fluffy - I'm using it a lot to define my crease, a great purchase!

Pennello Viso 202 Wjcon: acquistato con grande curiosità poiché non ne avevo mai visti di questa forma e durante il periodo 'cimentiamoci nel contouring' - pensavo inoltre, viste le setole abbastanza fitte, di utilizzarlo per i blush poco scriventi....in realtà ad oggi non è mai stato utilizzato per questi scopi ma per stendere ombretti a tutta palpebra :P Due spennellate e il gioco è fatto! ^_^ Chiaramente se devo fare trucchi più precisi non è l'ideale ma mi piace davvero molto! Un pennello multi task.

Wjcon Face Brush 202: I was very curious about this brush cause I never saw any like that and while I was thinking I wanted to try and practice some contouring. I was also thinking, given its quite dense bristles, I could use it with less pigmented blushes...well, till now it was never used for these reasons - I reach for this brush when I just want a quick swipe of color on my lid ^_^ Of course it's not the perfect candidate when I need to be precise but I like it a lot! It's a multi task brush.

Get Inspired! EOTD feat Darling Girl - Misread

Buongiorno!!!

Non so da voi, ma qui pare che la primavera sia finalmente arrivata :)))
Oggi vi mostro un trucco molto semplice che ho realizzato un paio di giorni fa - ho scelto la canzone Misread dei Kings of Convenience perchè mi mette sempre di buonumore e ben si adatta a questo look 'fresco'.
(Ho cominciato a testare il sample di primer Eyeshadow Fix Pearl di Zoeva e quando lo avrò terminato ne pubblicherò la recensione)

Don't know what's the weather like where you live but here spring has finally arrived :)))
Today I'm going to show you a very simple look I did a couple of days ago - I chose Misread by Kings of Convenience because it always puts me in a good mood and pairs really well with this 'cool' look.
(I started to test out Zoeva Eyeshadow Fix Pearl primer sample and when I'll run out of it I'll publish a review)

Il dupe amletico - aka To dupe or not to dupe? #7

Bliss (Meow) VS Big Top (Glamour Doll Eyes) VS Bazinga! (Darling Girl)

 

Luce artificiale - Artificial light

Verdetto: quasi, si differenziano per alcuni particolari. Considerando che tutti partono da una base dorata chiara con riflessi rosa: Bliss presenta un blando duochrome, Big Top ha una punta di giallo in più rispetto agli altri due e dei glitterini rosa, Bazinga! ha tanti glitterini rosa <3. La prova del nove è data dallo swatch su base nera - i miei preferiti sono Big Top e Bazinga! Ma avete visto quest'ultimo cosa tira fuori su base nera???! Non lo avevo mai provato così e da adesso di sicuro li abbinerò più spesso :P

Verdict: almost, they differ in a few things. Considering they all share a light golden base with pinky iridescence: Bliss shows a weak duochrome, Big Top has a stronger yellow component compared to the others and has pink glitters, Bazinga! has lots of pink glitters <3. The swatch over black base shows it clearly - my favourite are Big Top and Bazinga! Have you seen how the DG shade performs over black base???! Never paired them till now but will definitely do so :P

 Mi sembra che così somigli a Shenanigans di Fyrinnae (che purtroppo non ho ma sono contenta lo stesso!).

 It seems to me this way it looks like Fyrinnae Shenanigans (which unfortunately don't own but I'm happy anyway!).

N.B.: è stato molto difficile rendere un colore così chiaro e con riflessi in foto, Bazinga! sembra il meno pigmentato di tutti ma è una mera questione di angolazione :P

N.B.: it's been very difficult to capture such a light shade with its iridescence, Bazinga! looks the poorest in pigmentation but it's just a question of light hitting :P

Get Inspired! EOTD feat Darling Girl - A Beautiful Lie

Buon sabato!

Come vi dicevo ieri vi mostro un look molto veloce che ho realizzato con After You've Gone e Tainted Love (della collezione MILF - Matte I'd Like To Find), un viola profondo mat che mi ha conquistata per l'alta pigmentazione e sfumabilità.... purtroppo nella maggior parte delle foto risulta molto più chiaro per via della zona molto illuminata in cui ho scattato le foto ma non sono molto brava nell'editing ed ho deciso di pubblicarle comunque ....il contrasto con la matita verde teal sulla rima inferiore ha accentuato l'effetto freddo dato dall'argento ed il viola ed il tutto mi ha fatto pensare a A Beautiful Lie dei 30 Seconds To Mars...

Siate clementi! :P

As I was saying yesterday I'm going to show you a quick look I did with After You've Gone and Tainted Love (from the MILF - Matte I'd Like To Find collection), a mat deep purple that surprised me for its high pigmentation and blendability...unfortunately it looks much lighter than irl because of the overexposed area where I took the pictures but I'm not really good in photo editing and decided to post them anyway...the tealish green eyepencil on lower lashline has emphasized the cool effect given by the silver and purple combo....so it made me think of A Beautiful Lie by 30 Seconds To Mars...

Be merciful! :P

Darling Girl 'Not an 80s Band' Collection swatches

Sera!

Torno a mostrarvi degli swatches di Darling Girl (che se non si era capito è uno dei miei marchi preferiti! E se penso a quanti altri colori aspettano di essere swatchati e postati mi vien male! Recupererò pian piano, abbiate fiducia XD) e stavolta vi mostro quello che ho della collezione 'Not an 80s Band' dedicata ai Duran Duran. All'epoca (ed ero una bambina) tifavo per gli Spandau Ballet ma qualche canzone dei Duran non mi dispiaceva....
Purtroppo nonostante ci fosse abbastanza luce non sono riuscita a rendere al massimo alcuni colori e così ho fatto dei piccoli video che spero possano sopperire!

I'm back to show you some Darling Girl swatches (one of my favourite brands ifthat wasn't clear! If I think of how many shades I still have to swatch and post I feel so bad! Bear with me, I'll manage step by step XD) and today you'll see what I bought from the 'Not an 80s Band' Collection dedicated to Duran Duran. At that time (and I was a little kid) I was a fan of Spandau Ballet but some Duran Duran songs were also appreciated...
Unfortunately, despite the quite good lighting, some shades didn't show up well so I made a couple of short videos hoping they'll help!

Luce naturale - Natural light

After You've Gone: argento medio, tempestato di shimmer! A primo colpo sembra avere dei riflessi rosati, mentre come potete notare da alcuni swatches, a seconda delle angolazioni, ha dei riflessi verdi. E' bellissimo, rientra nella categoria 'trucchi veloci e sentirsi a posto' :D Presto posterò un trucco dove l'ho usato (anche se le foto non sono proprio un granchè: come al solito o c'è troppa luce o ce n'è troppo poca quando devo fare foto, uffa!) e anche se non posso confermarlo con le foto, il duochrome rosato l'ho visto!
After You've Gone: medium silver, very shimmery! At first glance it seems to have a pinky sheen, but from the swatches you can see, moving at certain angles, a green shift. It's gorgeous, you can file it under the 'make up in a hurry and look good' category :D I'll post soon a look featuring this shade (though pictures do not make it justice: as usual when it's time to take pictures there's too much light or the opposite, grr!) and, even if I can't prove it, I saw the pinky duochrome! 

Blue Silver: Blu-viola su base scura con shimmer argento- penso possa dare il meglio di sé in uno smokey.

On The Hunt: da amante del verde potevo lasciarmi scappare questo gioiello?? Verde vivace su base fredda, zeppo di glitter oro scuro e rosa *_*!
On The Hunt: as a lover of green shades could I skip this jewel?? Bright green with cool undertone, full chock of dark golden and pink sparkles *_*!

Dancing On The Sand: questo m'incuriosiva parecchio - peccato che sulla mia pelle non si veda bene (si nota meglio nei piccoli video) - color cioccolato al latte con delle iridescenze blu e shimmer arancione (lo swatch originale è molto fedele), non comune, mi è piaciuto!
Dancing On The Sand: I was really curious about this - pity you can't see it well on my skin (while it shows up better on the little vids) - light milk chocolate with blue iridescence and orange shimmer (the official swatch is pretty spot on), uncommon, I liked it!

Miles From Nowhere: quello che ho voluto più di tutti (infatti ho preso subito la petit, assieme a On The Hunt) e che speravo non mi deludesse: un bellissimo panna caldo con una punta di grigio e forte duochrome oro, arricchito di glitter rosa...complesso vero? Da provare assolutamente!
Miles From Nowhere: the one I've wanted the most (I immediately bought the petit size, together with On The Hunt) and was hoping not to get disappointed: a gorgeous warm buttery shade with some grey in it and a strong gold duochrome, enriched with pink glitter....complex, right? You must give it a try!

No Sign Of Life: sarò sincera, pensavo di avere già un dupe ma l'ho preso lo stesso perchè il verde acqua ha sempre il suo fascino....e ho fatto bene!!! Lo vedete quel forte riflesso verde (invece del solito oro)?? E' amore!
No Sign Of Life: I'll be honest, I thought I already had a dupe of this shade but decided to buy it anyway because you can't escape from charming aqua marine shades...glad I did it!!! Can you see that strong green (rather than usual golden) iridescence?? That's love!

Get Inspired! Eotd feat Lucrezia's pigments - Please, please, please let me get what I want

Salve salvino, come state?

Questo post oggi lo dedico a Lucrezia, una ragazza del forum minerale che frequento e che, tra altre, aveva partecipato al collettivo Zoeva - (Zoeva 2) - Sleek. E sì perchè, per via di una differenza nella spedizione, le ho chiesto se poteva semplicemente mandarmi dei samples di ombretti fatti da lei....samples che dire generosi  è veramente riduttivo! Ve li mostrerò meglio in un altro post ma oggi volevo farvi vedere un trucco molto semplice ma di grande effetto (purtroppo poco visibile in foto ç_ç) che ho realizzato con i suddetti per andare a trovare mia cugina neomamma e conoscere il nuovo piccolo arrivato in famiglia :) Penso che un po' di Smiths ci stiano bene... ^_^

I dedicate this post to Lucrezia, one of the girls who took part in the Zoeva - (Zoeva 2) - Sleek collective haul. Yes because, since I was due some little money because of a higher shipping, I asked her if she could send me some samples of her homemade eyeshadows...well, calling them generous samples is not really enough! I'll show them properly in a separate post, today I wanted to share a very easy but neat look (unfortunately not really visible on the pics ç_ç) that I made with them to go visit my cousin who just had her first baby and welcome her cute little boy in the family :) I guess some Smiths music fits well... ^_^

Progetto Free your vanity case - marzo e consigli makeupposi a Roma!

Ciao!!

Sono di rientro da un viaggetto a Padova, dove ho trascorso il compleanno sotto la neve, molto fruttuoso dal punto di vista cosmetico (alla faccia del programma smaltimento :P! Se vi interessa vedere cosa ho preso preparo un post) e quindi ho fallito miseramente il progetto (ho terminato solo l'eyeliner Essence ed il balsamo Ultra Dolce Garnier - me ne è rimasto giusto per  un lavaggio)... vediamo se ci riesco questo mese!

*Inoltre poichè intorno a metà mese andrò a Roma a trovare un'amica e qualche mattina sarò sola soletta a girare la città volevo ricevere indicazioni/consigli da qualche romana (o chiunque conosca bene la città!) su come raggiungere qualche luogo makeupposo meritevole (tipo Panda Shop o la bioprofumeria Thymiama...o  consigliate pure!), più che altro capire se potrei impiegarci una vita per raggiungerlo...io partirei da zona Cinecittà...Se poi si riuscirebbe a vedersi per un caffè mi farebbe molto piacere!

I'm back from a trip to Padua, where I spent my birthday with snowy weather and bought some nice cosmetic goodies (betraying my Free your vanity project :P! If you're interested in what I bought I might write a post) so I completely failed with the project (I just finished the Essence eyeliner and the Garnier Ultra Dolce conditioner - just have some left over for a washing)...let's see if I succeed this month!

Progetto Free your vanity case - febbraio

*post programmato, ci risentiamo tra una decina di giorni!*

Bè, il primo mese di smaltimento è andato abbastanza bene, mi sto portando dietro circa la metà di quello che mi ero prefissata (per i punti 1-2 e 8 ci vorrà un po'!) e ho terminato anche qualcosa che non era in programma, tipo un sample abbondante di mix di erbe indiane per capelli, metà di un altro sample abbondante di rhassoul, un campioncino di profumo Noa di Cacharel e diversi campioncini di profumi e creme corpo di vari marchi.

Well this first month was pretty good, I still have half of what I decided to finish (it will take a bit longer to use up 1-2 and 8!) and meanwhile I finished also something that wasn't expected like a generous sample of a mix of Indian herbs for hair washing, half of a big sample of rhassoul, a sample of Cacharel's Noa perfume and several perfumes and body lotions samples of different brands.

3. Balsamo al limone e olio d'oliva Garnier Ultra Dolce (circa 2 usi): finalmente! Non che mi ci sia trovata male, anzi, ma è aperto da un sacco!
3. Garnier Ultra Dolce lemon and olive oil conditioner (about 2 uses): finally! It wasn't bad at all but I have this conditioner from quite long time.

4. Bottega Verde detergente scrub al cocco: è una minitaglia che ho da un po'. Mi piace il profumo di questa linea (anche se sinteticissimo lo so!)
4. Bottega verde coconut scrub cleanser: I have this mini size from quite a bit. I like the smell of this line (even though it's very artificial, I know!)

5. Biopoint maschera stop crespo: minitaglia che avevo già aperto, l'inci se non erro è la fiera del silicone...

6. Franco Battaglia maschera ravviva ricci: mi ero pure scordata di averla! L'avevo presa all'Acqua e Sapone per raggiungere il minimo per un omaggio, :P!

7. Venus Body idratante illuminante: l'avevo presa per i saggi di danza del ventre, pensavo fosse più illuminante e non l'ho mai usata. Mi dispiace buttarla piena quindi la riciclo per lo scrub.
7 Venus Body highlighting moisturizer: I bought it for belly dance shows, I thought it was more 'shiny' so I never used it. It's a pity to throw it in the bin as it's full so I'll recycle it to scrub.

10. Meow finishing powder: sample che avevo ricevuto in swap da un po', è ora di terminarlo!

13. Essence long lasting pencil Let's Dance: io amo questa matita alla follia, dismessa da tempo, è un bronzo spettacolare che uso nella rima inferiore quando voglio qualcosa di soft (la trovate in una marea di miei look!). Essence long lasting pencil Let's Dance: I love this pencil to death, discontinued from quite some time, it's a gorgeous bronze I use on the lower lashline when I want something soft (you'll find it in many looks here). It's so sad knowing it's close to the end, I spared it for a while but it's really almost over....I have a Yves Rocher substitute but it's not a dupe :(

Lo so, sono in ritardo ma volevo comunque rendervi partecipi della cosa :P

I know, I'm late but I wanted to share this anyway :P

Meow Gloaming (Glacial Grove collection): un bellissimo bordeaux a base fredda e super scintillante (come il resto della collezione, una delle più belle, a mio parere, tra quelle natalizie) che ho ampiamente usato sulla piega dell'occhio ma anche come colore unico, avete presente quando volete fare un trucco rapido ma curato? Eccolo, è uno dei candidati ideali ^_^

Meow Gloaming (Glacial Grove collection): a gorgeous burgundy with cool base, super shiny (like the whole collection, in my opinion one of the most beautiful among the Christmas' ones) that I largely used on the crease but as one shade as well, you know when you want to be quick and have a groomed look? There you go, it's among the ideal candidates ^_^

The All Natural Face Magic primer: ho cominciato a preferirlo a quello in jar per palpebre oleose (che sembra non finire mai! Meglio così!) semplicemente perchè ho notato un leggero cambio di colore, quindi prima che diventi del tutto inutilizzabile lo faccio lavorare un po'! L'efficienza è la stessa :)

The All Natural Face Magic primer: I started preferring this to the one in jar for oily lids (which seems like has no bottom! Great!) just because I saw a slight change in color, so before going straight to the bin I'm gonna give it a go! It has the same high performance :)

Look by Bipa eyeshadow matte brown: presi questo ombretto da Bipa con una media convinzione, il colore mi piaceva ma non essendo una grande fan dei mat pensavo non sarei riuscita a lavorarlo o che avesse una scarsa pigmentazione (infatti ho cominciato ad utilizzarlo dopo parecchio tempo)...quest'ombretto è stata una rivelazione! La pigmentazione è molto buona e si stende facilmente (mi piace applicarlo con il blending della Essence e a volte con il pencil Zoeva), è un colore abbastanza jolly ma la 'morte' sua è con il su citato Gloaming *_*

Look by Bipa eyeshadow matte brown: I bought this eyeshadow at Bipa but wasn't 100% sure of it, I liked the color but, as I'm not a fan of mattes, I thought I would have had troubles in applying it or it might have been low pigmented (in fact I didn't use it immediately)....this eyeshadow was an epiphany! Pigmentation is very good and goes smooth on lids (I like using it with the blending brush by Essence and sometimes with the pencil one by Zoeva too), it pairs well with many shades but the best match is Gloaming *_*

Kiko Colour Sphere Duo 103 Rosa Antico-Tortora: ho rivalutato molto questo duo, inizialmente ero delusa dalla sua pigmentazione ma sotto le luci del negozio era così bello e scintillante...ma usato con un buon primer rende alla grande: lo uso spesso quando viaggio e voglio portarmi pochi trucchi dietro (così sono a posto con illuminante e colore sulla piega!), gli ho dato una bella botta (aka usato ogni giorno) l'estate scorsa quando non volevo sprecare più di 5 minuti per il trucco prima di andare a lavorare...

Kiko Colour Sphere Duo 103 Antique Rose-Taupe: I revalued this duo a lot, I was initially disappointed by its sheerness but it was so beautiful and shiny under the shops lights....well, actually if you use a good primer it will work just great: it's usually among my picks when I travel and don't want to take too much stuff with me (so as for highlighter and crease color I'm done!), last summer I used it a lot (aka everyday!) when I didn't want to spend more than 5 minutes for make up before going to work....

Neve Cosmetics Glossy Smooth: bello, cicciottoso e con manico corto, come piace a me! Lo adoro per applicare blush di media e scarsa pigmentazione - un paio di swirl ed il gioco è fatto!

Neve Cosmetics Glossy Smooth brush: beautiful, fluffy and with short handle, just the way I like it! I love it when I apply medium and low pigmented blushes - a couple of swirls and you're done!

Glamour Doll Eyes Sword Swallower: in bustina ti frega (come tanti altri minerali!) perchè sembra un argento senza carattere, di quelli visti e rivisti, ma una volta applicato....*_* (poker face!) sembra argento liquido, non lo so, è luminosissimo e super pigmentato, non devi riapplicarlo per renderlo visibile...

Glamour Doll Eyes Sword Swallower: take a look at the bag and it will mock you (like many other mineral pigments) because it looks like a plain, boring silver you've seen so many times, then you apply it and....*_* (poker face!) it looks like molten silver, I don't know, it's super bright and pigmented, you don't have to layer it to reach full opacity....

Darling Girl Raining Blood holo gloss: è un gloss molto sheer, adatto ad essere sovrapposto (vi avevo mostrato lo swatch qui) ma a me piace usarlo da solo, ha dei riflessi rame che comunque enfatizzano bene le labbra.

Spero un pochino di sì....ieri ho fatto un po' mente locale di quanti possibili dupe abbia e al momento ne avrei una decina scarsa quindi, volenti o nolenti, questa rubrica andrà avanti ancora per un po' :P

Jeweled Taupe (Darling Girl) VS Backstage (Rimmel)

Verdetto: quasi, sono molto simili - Jeweled Taupe è leggermente più caldo di Backstage ed ha dei glitterini fuxia (appena percettibili in bustina) ma l'effetto, anche se dalle foto forse non si direbbe (entrambi difficili da rendere in foto), è quasi identico sugli occhi. Hanno entrambi un finish metallico e una volta applicati danno l'idea di essere stati utilizzati bagnati - li adoro!! <3

Verdict: almost, they're quite similar - Jeweled Taupe is slightly warmer than Backstage and has some hot pink glitters (you can barely see them in the baggie) but the result, even if you wouldn't say that (they're both hard to catch on pics), is almost identical on eyes. They both feature a metallic finish and once applied it looks like they were applied wet -I love them!! <3

Vi propongo un altro look che stava per vedere lo struccante prima di essere completato e che poi, vista questa precedente esperienza, ho deciso comunque di completare e....mi è piaciuto tantissimo!! Al solito le foto non rendono giustizia (sono pessima, I know!) perchè i colori risultano più chiari e anche un po' insulsi -  ad esempio Cornucopia è un bellissimo arancio brunito con shimmer blu e si sfuma bene con Behemoth (che qualcuno stenterà a riconoscere!)...il risultato è stato davvero magico perchè mai avrei immaginato sarei riuscita a rendere le sfumature di uno dei tanti tramonti che riesco a godermi dalla finestra di casa... E poichè c'è un legame con il 'Get inspired' dedicato a Space Oddity, questo ho voluto dedicarlo alla bellissima Satellite Of Love...

Today I'm going to show you another look I was about to give up before finishing it, but this previous experience taught me that never say never so I went on and....I really liked it!! As usual pictures do not do any justice (I'm so bad, I know!) because shadows appear to be lighter and a bit of meh - e.g. Cornucopia is a gorgeous burnt orange with blue shimmer that blends well with Behemoth (someone won't be able to recognize it!)...the result was magical because I would have never thought I would have managed to transfer on my eyes those sunset shades I enjoy from home... Now since there's a connection with Space Oddity 'Get Inspired' I decided to dedicate this one to the beautiful Satellite Of Love...

Get Inspired! EOTD feat Darling Girl - Locked Out Of Heaven

Questo è un look che avevo in mente da un pochino di tempo (ovvero da quando è uscito uno dei miei ultimi tormentoni preferiti - Locked Out Of Heaven) e ieri finalmente l'ho realizzato...la prossima volta però proverò ad usare Boy With The Bread al posto di Bijou (più freddo)...ad ogni modo l'accostamento mi è piaciuto molto, enjoy!

Avevo questo look nelle bozze da qualcosa tipo otto mesi o una cosa del genere (vergogna!), pensato per una collaborazione con Misato (sooner or later arriverà vero?! :P) e poichè oggi quel genio adorato di David Bowie compie gli anni mi sembrava l'ora di postarlo (mi riservo comunque la possibilità di proporne una versione alternativa ^_^).

I had this look in my drafts for something like eight months or something like that (shame on me!) which was supposed to be featured in a collaboration with Misato (it will happen sooner or later, right?! :P), now since today is that beloved genius' (whose name is David Bowie) birthday it was about time to post it (even though I might try a reloaded version ^_^). 

Inizialmente ero partita con un'altra idea, anzi un'altra ispirazione! Avevo in mente una canzone e volevo farci un trucco abbinando un carta da zucchero (Paris) ad un bronzo caldo...poi mi sono guardata attorno ed ho pensato che Marrakesh (che bronzo non è, lo so!) potesse andar bene...vi dirò, inizialmente l'abbinamento non mi convinceva, tanto più che Marrakesh sì risaltava splendidamente sullo stick Kiko, ma mi sembrava non legasse così bene con Paris, tant'è che ero sul punto di prendere lo struccante! Stavolta la mia pigrizia mi ha premiata: ho deciso di salvare capra e cavoli come potevo e così ho pensato di applicare Kenya come 'legante'....bè il look si è decisamente trasformato! Mi ha fatto quindi pensare ai pianeti e da qui l'idea di abbinarlo a Space Oddity....<3 <3 <3 <3

I started with another idea, another inspiration! I had in mind a song and wanted to make a look pairing a muted light blue (Paris) to a warm bronze...then I digged my stash and thought Marrakesh (which is not bronze, I know!) might have worked well...you know what, at the beginning I wasn't sure about this combo - Marrakesh was showing up great over Kiko's shadestick but it seemed not to match that well with Paris and I was ready to grab my make up cleanser but....my laziness saved me: I decided I would have tried to save this look somehow so I went for Kenya as transition shade between the two and.....well, it changed completely! It made me think of planets, that's why I decided to pair it with Space Oddity.... <3 <3 <3 <3

Ho inserito anche qualcosa che è già prossima alla fine, concedetemelo!

How are you?
I'm starting sticking to my new year's resolutions by posting the first January's 'Free your vanity' project - I hope you don't mind this new name but I wanted something motivational :)
I threw in something almost over as well, allow me that!

1. Tonico Clean Silk Santangelica: non mi ha entusiasmata granchè, se ne applico un po' di più mi ritrovo la pelle appiccicosa - il latte detergente della stessa linea era migliore ma mi pare non avesse un inci proprio verde...se non riesco a spignattarlo io voglio provare quello Vivi Verde della Coop.
1. Santangelica Clean Silk Toner: a big meh, if I accidentally apply too much I have as result a sticky face - the cleansing milk from the same line was better but as far as I remember it ddn't have a great inci...if I can't manage to make it by myself I want to try the Vivi Verde one from Coop.

2. Latte corpo Hammam Bottega Verde: un po' troppo cremoso per un latte corpo (o almeno così è per il mio flacone), la ritengo una crema abbastanza densa dalla profumazione speziata-orientale (molto buona ma un tantino forte forse, deve piacere!) di media persistenza ed idratazione. Mi è piaciuta ma mi aspettano già altre creme da provare (sono un'infedele cosmetica cronica!)...
2. Bottega Verde body lotion Hammam: a bit too creamy for a body milk (or so it is for my bottle), to me it's a quite dense oriental spicy cream (I love its scent but a tiny bit strong maybe, it goes on personal taste!) with a medium persistence and hydration. I liked it but I have already a few body lotions already waiting for me (I'm a chronic cosmetic unfaithful!)...

3. Deodorante Deo Dermafresh senza profumo (non conosco la marca ma sul retro c'è scritto Rottapharm): preso in farmacia (credo un regalo di una parente che lavora lì), non ha profumo ma ne ha forse uno naturale, leggermente alcolico pare (non conosco gli ingredienti quindi vado, è davvero il caso di dire, a naso) ma che non persiste. Non mi dispiace però funziona solo su chi (come me) non ha una sudorazione eccessiva...se sudi un po' di più ti tradisce!
3. Deo Dermafresh deodorant, unscented (I don't know the brand but on the back of the bottle it's written Rottapahrm): I took it in the pharmacy (I guess it was given to me by a relative who works there), it has no perfume, yet it has one, smells slightly alcoholic (don't know the ingredients so I simply judge by smelling) but not lingering. I don't mind it but it works only on those people (like me) who don't suffer strong sweating...if you sweat more...bye bye!

4. Minceur Café Vert Yves Rocher: gel ricevuto con la tessera, non fa miracoli (non che me ne aspettassi, se si vogliono risultati bisogna utilizzare, secondo la mia esperienza, i fanghi Guam).
4. Yves Rocher Minceur Café Vert: I got this gel with their card, doesn't make miracles (I wasn't expecting any actually, according to my experience only Guam mud can make some difference with cellulitis).

5. Pantene spuma ricci perfetti: non mi è piaciuta, sì definisce i ricci ma l'ho trovata 'pesante' e facilmente mi ritrovo con quelle brutte scagliette bianche...non vedo l'ora di finirla, anche perchè ho ormai collaudato il mio gel ai semi di lino (yeaaaah! A breve il post) ed è un altro paio di maniche!
5. Pantene perfect curls foam: I didn't like it, my curls are defined but it seems to be 'heavy' and I can easily find those ugly white flakes on my hair... I can't wait to finish it, especially because now I tested my own linseed gel enough to say it's a completely different story (yeaaaah! I'll post about it soon!).

6. Eyeliner Essence In Love (le): lo avete visto nella maggior parte dei miei trucchi - lo adoro e mi piange il cuore saperlo quasi alla fine! Non mi sarei mai aspettata mi sarebbe piaciuto così tanto: ha dei piccolissimi shimmer che danno un tocco glossy e a fine giornata, miracolo, è ancora lì sugli occhi, perfetto.
6. Essence eyeliner In Love (le): you've seen it in most of my eye looks - I love it and it makes me so sad knowing it's almost over! I didn't expect to like it so much: it has tiny shimmers that give a glossy look and at the end of the day, a miracle, it's still there, perfect.

7. Darling Girl lip jelly Ghouls Gone Wild sample: un gloss della collezione Halloween 2011, verde molto chiaro con glitterini ma che una volta applicato risulta trasparente. Speravo in un riflesso un po' evidente di verde, la consistenza del gloss mi piace molto però. L'ho inserito in questo progetto perchè questi sample vengono spesso conservati per altre occasioni e si finisce poi per non usarli mai...
7. Darling Girl lip jelly Ghouls Gone Wild sample: gloss from the Halloween 2011 collection, a very light green with small glitters that shows up clear once applied. I was hoping on a more evident green shift but still love the consistency though. I put it in this project because usually these samples are spared for other occasions but in the end they're never used...

8. Scrub corpo argan del Marocco Bottega Verde: facile da usare per via della sua consistenza cremosa ma non troppo, i granelli dovrebbero essere di nocciolo di albicocca, esfolia ma non scartavetra! Ha un buon profumo (sintetico) orientale ma stavolta dalla nota dolce - l'unica nota negativa è che questa profumazione è davvero troppo forte, sicuramente il profumo è nei posti alti dell'inci (sono troppo pigra per andare a controllare il retro del barattolo :P).
8. Bottega Verde Moroccan argan body scrub: easy to use thanks to its creamy but not too much texture, little grains should come from apricot kernel, it exfoliates but doesn't rip your skin. It has a good (artificial) oriental scent with a sweet note - the only negative point is the scent itself: it's too strong, it's surely on higher inci places (I'm too lazy to go check the back of thejar :P).

9. Bottega Verde shampo protettivo SOL (mini taglia): senza infamia e senza lode, non mi va di trascinarmelo fino all'estate prossima!

10. Crema balsamo anti secchezza per i piedi lavanda Bottega Verde (mini taglia): mi sono sempre trovata bene con le creme piedi BV e questa non fa eccezione.

11. Essence jelly baby gel blush: il mio primo blush in gel, l'ho stra usato quest'estate e dato che tra un po' diventa cimelio storico è ora di dargli l'ultima botta! Lo uso quando vado di fretta o con trucchi leggeri.

12. Bilba oil non oil ai semi di lino: ma quando finirà???? Ok l'ho messo da parte per un po' ma sembra sempre ricrescere di notte, cioè non finisce mai! Lo uso assieme alla spuma e non vedo l'ora di dirgli addio per sempre...inutile restare con i petrolati quando hai trovato di meglio, no?
12. Bilba linseed oil non oil: when will it finish???? Ok, I left it aside for a while but it seems like it grows at night, I mean it lasts ages! I use it with hair foam and can't wait to say goodbye...it's useless to keep using petroleum when you find better solutions, right?

13-14. Sample di primer mat Jadyne e fondo House Blend entrambi Blusche: dato che non potrò eventualmente riordinare da questa azienda canadese (dogana sicura? no, grazie) è il caso che faccia fuori anche questi samples - peccato, i fondi mi erano piaciuti parecchio...

Ho tantissimi swatches da fare e mostrarvi ma con la poca luce di questi giorni è davvero un'impresa - o se il sole c'è non posso io! Ieri però ce l'ho fatta e ho scoperto che la luce del bagno non altera i colori così mi son detta: "Perchè no?" e, altra novità per me, troverete anche due brevi video! Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate, credo che finchè non ci sarà luce sufficiente ed i risultati mi soddisfano continuerò così, altrimenti potrei impiegare anni....non sono un genio della fotografia ma postare foto poco chiare non ha senso, non credete??

I have tons of swatches to do and show you but these days there's not much light - or if there is I can't take pictures! Yesterday I eventually did and found out that the bathroom's light doesn't alter the shades so I told myself: Why not?" and, again something new for me, you'll find two shorts videos! Let me know what you think about it, I guess until the weather will be so and I'll be satisifed about the results I'll keep it this way, otherwise it could take ages... Chemical Warfare: bright and crisp chartreuse green with multi sparkle 'diamond dust' (super cool small glitters that hold up well!) - among the most beautiful green shades I own, full stop!

Die, Die My Darling: inizialmente questo colore mi pareva poco interessante ma leggevo di blogger estasiate che continuavano a dire: "Dal vivo è spettacolare!" e cose del genere, così mi sono decisa a prendere un sample....effettivamente dal vivo è molto diverso, verde un po' spento (ok, non suona bene ma non so proprio come descriverlo :P) con shimmer rosa, mi ha colpita, da provare!
Die, Die My Darling: at the beginning this shade was a bit meh but I always read of enthusiastic bloggers who kept sayin': "It's gorgeous in real life!" and stuff like that, so I decided to give it a try by purchasing a sample... it's actually a lot different irl, a bit muted green (ok, it doesn't sound interesting but I don't know how to decribe it :P) with pink shimmer, I was impressed, must be seen in person!

Roots Radical: verde menta chiaro molto primaverile e fresco, con glitter oro e rosa.

Friday I'm In Love: premetto il fatto che già trattandosi dei Cure molto probabilmente lo avrei preso comunque ma è sicuramente (per me) tra i più belli della collezione! Un verde mare che sembra essere ricoperto da uno strato dorato e multi glitter tra i quali spicca il blu ed il verde - prima di averlo credevo potesse essere un dupe di Oro Azzurro ma quando l'ho visto, pur non avendoli confrontati, mi sono resa conto che non lo sono affatto, come il giorno e la notte... mamma mia!! (occhi a cuoricini!)
Friday I'm In Love: just put beforehand - since it's about The Cure I would have bought it anyway but it's for sure (to me) among the most beautiful ones of the collection! A seagreen that seems to be coated with gold and multi glitters, especially blue and green - before getting it I thought it could be a dupe of Oro Azzurro but when I saw it, even though I didn't compare them, I realized they're not at all, just like day and night....mamma mia!! (heart shaped eyes!)

Wanna Be Sedated: un altro bellissimo che però in queste foto rende poco :( chiccosissimo taupe rosato sparkleggiante :D da usare anche da solo, eyeliner, mascara e via!

How Soon Is Now: questo è un po' difficile da descrivere - direi un grigio blu satinato con riflessi rosa e lilla che a volte lo fanno sembrare un lavanda polvere, molto bello!
How Soon Is Now: this is a bit difficult to describe - I'd say it's a satin grey-blue with pink and lilac iridescence that in certain lights make it look like a dusty lavender, very beautiful!

Viva La Revolution: arancione rosato freddo e dai riflessi blu, stupenderrimo - l'ho preso direttamente in petit jar perchè voglio provarlo anche come blush...
Viva La Revolution: cool toned pinky orange with blue iridescence, awesome - I went straight for the petit jar because I want to try it as a blush as well...

Basket Case: i viola non sono mai abbastanza, questo poi è acceso ed ha dei riflessi turchesi....cosa chiedere di più?!
Basket Case: you never have enough purples, this one has even a turquoise shift...what more can you ask for?!

London Calling: last but not least (e come potrebbe mai!)...qui stesso discorso dei Cure...con in più il fatto che Londra mi ricorda i viaggi studio, le prime esperienze all'estero...tanta roba!! <3 In più cosa gli vuoi dire: ha una base blu indaco scura (non il solito nero) ed un forte riflesso rosso che lo rende un viola scuro proprio a base rossa...spettacolare, da prendere ad occhi chiusi! Questo è l'unico (tra quelli che ho) privo di glitter.
London Calling: last but not least (and how could that be?!)... same story as for The Cure...plus London reminds me of my first study trips and experiences abroad... lots of stuff!! <3 Plus: have you seen it? It has a dark indigo base (not black as usual) and a strong red shift that makes it a dark purple with red undertone...awesome, you just have to take it! This is the only one (among those I have) without glitters.

PS: gli swatch sono fatti con le dita, quindi a volte capita di prendere più o meno prodotto - ecco perchè alcuni ombretti appaiono poco pigmentati, ma non lo sono!

PS: I do swatches with my fingertips so it happens sometimes to take more/less product - that's why some shades look less pigmented, but these aren't!

Purple blushes? Oh, yes please!

Post velocissimo sui blush viola (e sfumature varie)....dato che è il colore del momento (anche se io non aspetto necessariamente che un colore sia 'di moda' per utilizzarlo) ho pensato di mostrarvi quelli in mio possesso.

E' stato davvero difficile fotografarli (in particolare Purple Haze, che è stato quello che poi mi ha spinto a scrivere questo post), li ho applicati come al solito asciutti e senza base, ho applicato un po' più di pigmento sulla destra e più sfumato a sinistra:

Super quick post on purple (and similar shades) blushes... since it's a hit shade (even though I usually don't wait for a color to be trendy and then use it) I thought I'd show you the ones I own.

It's been a pain to take pictures (especially Purple Haze, which was actually the main reason I decided to write this post), I applied them dry, with no base, more pigment on the right side and more blended on the left:

The Purple Taxi: questo blush della Like a Hollywood Star Aleguaras lo ha dedicato proprio a me, che onore!!! E' un lilla davvero delicato e prezioso che uso come illuminante (sono medium warm quindi un po' chiaro per me) o per stemperare tono su tono uno più scuro se scappa qualche granello in più sul pennello...

The Purple Taxi: Aleguaras dedicated this blush from the Like a Hollywood Star Collection to me, what a honor!!! It's very delicate and precious lilac and I use it as highlighter (I have a medium warm complexion so it's a tad light on me) or to light up a (similar) darker shade in case I apply a bit more...

Purple Haze: sample omaggio ricevuto con l'ultimo ordine. Stavolta credevo davvero di non poter usare questo colore, mi sembrava eccessivo! Invece mi ha piacevolmente stupita: si sfuma bene ed ha delle micro particelle dorate non invadenti. Lo swatch lo mostra più freddo, la foto più vicina alla realtà è l'ultima ma se volete farvi una buona idea date un'occhiata allo swatch sul sito. Se non avessi migliaia di blush penso che ordinerei una petit....vedremo in futuro, chissà!

Purple Haze: freebie sample I received with my last order. This time I thought I couldn't wear it, was looking a bit too much! It actually surprised me: it blends well and has some golden micro particles which are not overpowering. On my swatch it appears cooler, the last picture is the closest to the real shade or you can have a look at the swatch on the website. If I wouldn't have thousands of blushes I'd order a petit...we'll see in the future, who knows!

Merlot: qui non mi dilungo perchè questo blush non è più in produzione - un bel malva schiccoso!

Merlot: won't spend many words on this since it's discontinued - a beautiful and classy mauve!

Skon: questo blush lo avevo già recensito qui e non ho cambiato idea, continua a piacermi molto!
