Get Inspired! EOTD Eden feat Antoinette's Revolution

Questo post è tutto dedicato alla cara Misato-san che mi chiedeva di vedere qualche colore di ARC in action...il risultato mi ha dato l'idea tra lo spaziale, l' elettronico ed il giunglesco (in barba all'italiano, ahahah!), come non abbinarci Eden dei mitici Subsonica?! (Si capirà dal numero di foto postate che questo trucco m'è piaciuto parecchio?!)

This post is totally dedicated to the lovely Misato-san who asked me to see some ARC pigments in action... the result made me think of space, electronic and jungle (well, kind of!)... so I couldn't think of anything else but Eden by Subsonica! (Do you think it's pretty clear that I loved this look considering the tons of pics I posted?!)

Sembro strabica ma non lo sono! :P It looks like I'm squinter, but I'm not! :P

Questo look era stato pensato in modo differente (e la canzone ispiratrice era un'altra ma non la svelerò adesso, lo farò quando posterò il look 'adatto'), poi invece si è evoluto così come lo vedrete..  alla fine ho seguito l'ispirazione del momento e ne è uscito comunque uno smokey carino (che in foto non rende benissimo) e forse un po' invernale, beccatevi Wonderful Life degli Hurts (quanto mi piace!):

I had thought of this look in a completely different way (and the inspiring song was also different, but I won't say it until I'll post the 'right' look), then it evolved this way...finally I just followed what was the inspiration of the moment and the smokey look I came up with is not that bad (pictures don't do it justice), maybe 'wintery', now go listen Hurts' Wonderful Life (I love it!):

Get Inspired! EOTD Underwater Love feat High Voltage

Un vecchio look sirenesco ma non proprio nel termine classico, avrei dovuto sfumare un pochino meglio il colore nella piega ma era forse la prima volta che usavo cinque colori in un colpo solo :P
Mi sono ispirata alla canzone degli Smoke City, Underwater Love (ve lo ricordate lo spot della Levi's??!)

An old mermaid style look but not in a classical way, I should have blended more the crease color but it was probably the first time I was using five colors in one shot :P
I got inspiration from Smoke City's Underwater Love (do you remember Levi's ad??!)

Get Inspired! EOTD Moves Like Jagger feat Aleguaras (Destination Anywhere Collection)

Ieri cercavo il video del nuovo singolo Moves Like Jagger dei Maroon 5 con Christina Aguilera dopo averlo ascoltato per radio di ritorno dal concerto (che p###e direte!) - i colori mi hanno ispirato questo look e prevedo di fischiettare questa canzone molto spesso ;)
I colori sono molto più vivaci (soprattutto il verde e l'azzurro)

Yesterday I was searching for the new single Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera after listening to it coming back from the concert (how boring you'll say!) - the colors gave me the idea for this look and I'm pretty sure I'll whistle this song quite often ;)
Colors are more vibrant in real life (especially green and light blue)

Get Inspired! EOTD At My Most Beautiful feat High Voltage

Altro look, ispirato in realtà ad un paio di orecchini che avevo visto da Pimkie il giorno prima (un grigio scuro un po' strano, verde salvia chiaro e dorato), mi è piaciuto molto, discreto e fine (che modestia! ) - se dovessi accostarlo ad una canzone sarebbe At My Most Beautiful dei REM.
Come al solito i colori sono un pochino slavati...

Another eyelook, which was actually inspired by some earrings I saw at Pimkie the day before (a weird dark grey, sage green and gold), I really liked it, very posh (how modest! ) - if I should pair it with a song it'd be At My Most Beautiful from REM.

Get Inspired! EOTD Wake Up Call feat High Voltage

Oggi non ho granchè voglia di fare quindi posto qualche vecchio look...il perchè è presto svelato: ieri sono stata al concerto di Bon Jovi a Udine, unica data italiana, e mi sento ancora in paradiso! Quasi tre ore di concerto (di cui mezzora sotto la pioggia ma chi se ne frega!) zeppo di adrenalina e ricordi del liceo a non finire, quando con la mia migliore amica guardavamo ogni singolo videoclip in adorazione e conoscevamo la discografia completa...bei tempi! In più lui è ancora un super pezzo di figo (ma ne ero certa!) ed in generale i ragazzi sanno ancora il fatto loro, chi si dimentica gli assoli di Richie....vabbè l'avrete capito che è stata una delle serate più belle della mia vita, un sogno che si è avverato (chi lo avrebbe detto quindici anni fa?!), quindi passiamo a questo look ispirato alle esplosioni nel videoclip di Wake Up Call dei Maroon 5 dove ho utilizzato esclusivamente i pigmenti di High Voltage Cosmetics, marchio indie americano tra i miei preferiti - lo capirete nei prossimi post dalla mole degli swatch ;)

Today I feel pretty lazy so I decided to post some old eyelooks...why? Yesterday I was in Udine to see Bon Jovi live in their only Italian show and I still feel like I'm in heaven! It was almost three hrs show (of whom half an hour under the rain but who could care about it?!), adrenaline was everywhere and I was overwhelmed by high school memories, when me and my best friend were watching each single videoclip staring (and worshiping, lol) at JBJ and knew the whole discography by heart...good old times! He's still sooo handsome (but had no doubt about it!) and in general the guys still rock out loud, who will be ablo to forget Richie's solo guitar?...Ok, I guess you got it, it has been of the best (ever) nights of my life. a dream come true (who would have said it 15 yrs ago?!), so let's go to this eyelook inspired by the fire explosion in the Wake Up Call videoclip from Maroon 5. The pigments I used are from High Voltage Cosmetics, an American indie make up brand among my favourites - you'll see this in the future posts by counting the tons of colors I bought ;)

Marie: un delicato azzurro shimmer che ricorda l’abito di Maria Antonietta nell’immagine usata da ARC arricchito da glitter fuxia.
Marie: a delicate shimmery light blue enriched with fuchsia glitters that recalls Marie Antoinette’s dress in the painting.

Dupioni: blu elettrico shimmer che applicato si mostra leggermente meno vibrante e quindi portabile anche per chi teme questi colori.
Dupioni: shimmery electric blue that once applied shows up slightly less vibrant, which means suitable also for those who fear shocking shades.

Von Fersen: ok, con questo nome lo avrei preso comunque - chi non si ricorda del bellissimo Conte  di Fersen in Lady Oscar? Era, assieme ad André (diamo a Cesare quel che è di Cesare!), uno dei bellissimi della serie! E’ uno dei miei ombretti preferiti: blu navy shimmer e non ho altro da aggiungere, basta guardarlo per innamorarsene!

Von Fersen: ok, with this name I would have picked it up whatever the shade – who doesn’t remember the handsome Count of Fersen in Lady Oscar? He was, together with André (to be honest and fair!), one of the most handsome male characters of the cartoon! It’s one of my favourite shades: shimmery navy blue and I won’t say a word more, just have a look and you will fall in love!

Damask: altro bellissimo, teal con shimmer dorati.
Damask: another gorgeous shade that stands out, teal with golden shimmers.

Gardens: il colore delle macchie d’erba J verde a forte componente gialla, tendente all’acido ma con duochrome blu, molto particolare e più bello dal vivo.
Gardens: it recalls grass stains J green with strong yellow base, leaning on the acid side but with a blue duochrome, very unique, looks much more beautiful in person.

Gouttiere: verde foresta tempestato da glitter dorati, non me lo aspettavo così ‘natalizio’ ma usciranno meraviglie anche da questo ombretto, lo so!
Gouttiere: forest green loaded with golden glitters, I honestly didn’t expect it to be so ‘festive’ but I’m sure I will come up with something great!

La Fontaine: la full che ho scelto in omaggio – me ne ero già innamorata leggendo il motivo ispiratore del colore e quando l’ho visto ne ho avuto la conferma J Non è un banale argento, dallo swatch non si nota ma io ci vedo un filino di oro.
La Fontaine: the free pot I chose – I already fell in love with the inspirational motif and when I saw it I got my confirmation J It’s not one of those regular silver colors, ok you can’t tell from the swatcn but I see some light golden interference going through.

Musket: grigio antracite shimmer, quasi nero…non l’ho ancora provato sull’occhio ma da quello che ho constatato gli shimmer dovrebbero tenere e non svolazzare, evento raro!
Musket: shimmery gunmetal grey, almost black…I didn’t try it yet on my eyes but shimmers in it should hold rather than fall out, pretty rare thing!

Majesty: viola melanzana con qualche shimmer  blu qua e là, so che renderà i miei occhi marroni favolosi ihihihih!
Majesty: eggplant purple with some bluey shimmers, I know it will make my brown eyes gorgeous, lol!

Louis: altro viola stupendo ma stavolta con forte sottotono blu, wow wow wow!
Louis: another great purple but this one shows a much stronger blue under tone, wow wow wow!

Per concludere una foto di paragone tra Musket e Brooklyn di Neve Make Up visto che su http://www.mineralmakeup.forumup.it/ qualcuna chiedeva se fossero dupe. Gli swatch sono stati fatti al volo ma si nota bene che Musket è più pigmentato, c'è più aderenza tra il colore ed i glitter, mentre Brooklyn è molto più svolazzante ed ha più glitter multicolor.

Last a comparison pic between Musket and Brooklyn from Neve Make Up since someone was asking on http://www.mineralmakeup.forumup.it/ if they were dupes. Swatches aren't accurate but you can clearly see that Musket is way more pigmented, there's more adehesion between color and glitters, while Brooklyn is more fall out prone and has more multicolor glitters.
